Ashley Lloyd is most often recognized for her world-ranked accomplishments in women’s surfing and surfboard shaping, but her artistry does not stop there. Her grace and passion for life are wonderfully expressed in her surfing explorations, and beyond her surfing life, Ashley is also a long-time musician. Her joyful spirit and light, loving energy shine through in the music she makes. Growing up rooted in the beach and surf culture around Malibu, she found herself drawing early musical inspiration from various blues and surf bands, such as Cheater 5 with music mentor, Denny Aaberg.

  Ashley’s style is unique, her voice has sultry soulfulness and intriguing creativity . Her music blends timeless sounds of sunny, oceanic folk, and back porch groove. Listeners can expect to find themselves smiling and grooving when Ashley’s music comes on.

  Since being based in Santa Cruz, she’s played in different combos such as The Ashley Lloyd Situation and The Shapes. Currently, Ashley recording her newer works to join her three prior albums; “True to Myself” (2004), “The Serenata Road Recordings” (2008), and The Shapes EP (2012). These three albums showcase an evolving range of Lloyd’s sound.
